League is for boys and girls, age 7-18. Registrants are assigned to a division based on their
age on APRIL 30TH, 2008. Whatever age a child is on April 30th is their League Age.
1A Division- ages 7 & 8 2A Division- ages 9 & 10 3A Division- ages 11 & 12
5A Division- ages 13 through 15 6A Division- ages 16 through 18
Casper
Youth Baseball Inc. is a non-profit, volunteer organization. Our program is designed to provide all
Casper area youth with a quality summertime sport in which they can learn the
game of baseball; develop their skills; have fun while playing in a competitive
environment; and make new friendships. Our program is strictly designed and
operated as A GAME FOR YOUTH!
THE FOLLOWING

~HOME RUN CARD MONEY
NO CHILD WILL BE ABLE TO PLAY BALL UNTIL THE ENTIRE REGISTRATION PROCESS IS COMPLETED!!!! NO EXCEPTIONS!!! Also, any player that still owes money from the 2007 season will not be allowed to play until all fees have been paid in full. A limited number of scholarships are available upon request at the CYB Office for qualified individuals.

REGISTRATION
DATES & NEW LATE SIGN UP POLICY:
Registration February
19-March 15
Late Signup Session I March 16-March 31 $10 late fee. Anyone signing up during this
time will still be put in the draft and guaranteed a spot on a team.
Late Signup Session II April 1-April 12 $20 late fee. Anyone signing up during this
time will still be put in the draft and guaranteed a spot on a team.
Late Signup Session III After April 12 $25 late fee. Anyone signing up during after April 12 will NOT be put in the draft and will NOT be guaranteed a spot on a team. The player MUST WAIT 1 WEEK before they will be assigned to a team and can practice or play in a game.
ONCE AGAIN THIS YEAR YOU WILL GET THE HOME RUN CARDS IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD!! (As long as Registration form, Uniform form, birth certificate and $55 are turned in).
For
those of you who mail in your registration forms, you will need to come to the
office to pick up your home run cards.
HOME
RUN CARDS WILL BE ISSUED AS SOON AS YOU REGISTER!!! THE SOONER YOU REGISTER, THE SOONER YOU CAN START
SELLING YOUR CARDS!!!
The
fee to play Casper Youth Baseball is $155.
Once again this year, Home Run cards will be available to sell for those
who wish to participate in this fundraiser.
Those wishing to sell Home Run cards will receive 10 Home Run cards to
sell at $10 each. So, again this
year you will have several options for fees and fundraising:
1)
If
you DO NOT wish to participate in the fundraiser, you will pay $155 by March
15.
2)
If
you DO wish to participate in the fundraiser, you will pay $55 by March 15 and
turn in
the remaining $100 from
selling the Home Run cards by April 25.
If you do not sell all
10 Home Run cards, you must
pay the difference.
3)
If
you DO wish to participate in the fundraiser, you may pay $155 by March 15 and
still
get your home run cards to
sell. Of course, if you sell the cards,
you would then keep the $.
FYI- THE CYB OFFICE WILL BE
CLOSED DURING DRAFT WEEK, April 14-18, SO WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING HOME RUN
CARD $ THAT WEEK.
REFUND POLICY: ALL REFUND REQUESTS MUST BE MADE IN WRITING! Refunds will be given as follows: 100% refund given if prior to April 1st, 80% refunded if prior to Skills Evaluation, 50% refunded if before teams first game, no refunds given once the team has played a game. Please note-refunds will not be given on money raised from selling Home Run Cards!
UNIFORMS (PLEASE NOTE THE SHIRT INFO BELOW WILL BE DIFFERENT FOR THE 2A
DIVISION THIS YEAR, THIS IS EXPLAINED ON THE UNIFORM FORM)
THE FOLLOWING UNIFORM ITEMS
ARE INCLUDED IN THE $155 FEE: 1 HAT, 1
SHIRT, 1 PAIR OF PANTS
Uniforms will be issued at
the team mom meeting on May 6 (2A uniforms will be issued at a different
date). The following is supplied to
each player by the league:
~1 hat with the
sponsor’s name on it
~1 team shirt (unless on same
team as last year, then they can use shirt from last year and get $5 off of
registration fees, except in 2A)
~1 pair of pants, if
requested on Uniform Form (your child may use their own pants if they are
white~ no pinstripes, no colored pants~ and if so, you will get $5 off of
registration fees)
Make sure you fill out the
Uniform Form and turn it in with Registration Form by March 15! IT IS VERY IMPORTANT YOU ORDER THE CORRECT
SIZES OR YOU WILL END UP PAYING TO GET A NEW SIZE ORDERED! We have shirts and pants of each size
available to try on at the CYB office.
TEAMS
Teams are formed in the following way:
******(Subject to change by Board approved actions).
1A- Returning players to the division stay on the
same team. New players are placed on
teams, usually according to school.
2A- Returning players to the division stay on the
same team. Players moving up from the
1A division are ranked by their previous years manager. New players are evaluated at Skills
Evaluation on April 12. We then have a
draft where players are sorted by skill level, then names are pulled out of a
hat and placed on teams.
3A- Same as 2A, using kids moving up from the 2A
division.
5A- Returning players to the division stay on the
same team. New players are put onto
teams by a draft where the Managers select the players, provided we have enough
managers prior to draft. If we do not
have enough managers, names will then be pulled out of a hat and placed on
teams.
6A- Players are put onto teams by a draft, where the
Managers select the players, provided we have enough managers prior to the
draft. If we do not have enough
managers, names will then be pulled out of a hat and placed on teams.
Skills Evaluation for new
players entering the league in the 2A and 3A divisions will be held on
April 12th. Please note,
this is only for kids that did not play in the league last year.
UMPIRES
We are looking for umpires!!! Anyone 14 years or older interested in umpiring, please contact the CYB office. We provide the training in a comprehensive 6-week umpire school. Umpire school starts in March 18th. A letter is included in this packet with more information on the school.
We have
CYB t-shirts, pullovers and stadium seats available for purchase at the CYB
office! We currently have a limited
amount in stock, but will place orders on the first of every month throughout
the season. You can place an order by
contacting Tammy at the office.
Pets
not on a leash, illegal drugs, alcoholic beverages, profanity and riding
bicycles in spectator areas are strictly prohibited at all CYB complexes and
activities. Anyone violating any of
these policies will be required to leave the complex.
As
parents of participants in this volunteer organization you are expected and
needed to do your part in making this program successful. Parents are responsible for: Getting your
child to and from practices and games; the upkeep and care of your child’s
uniform; supervising practices and games; supporting your child’s team and
players; scoring and announcing at home games, retrieving foul balls and
returning them to the game at visitor games and participating in fundraising
activities. Parents are
also needed as team managers, team coaches, team mothers/fathers, sponsors,
umpires, committee members and other areas.

TIME FRAME OF THINGS
TO EXPECT AFTER YOU REGISTER
~SKILLS EVALUATIONS will be held on April 12
for those entering the 2A & 3A divisions THAT DID NOT PLAY IN THE
LEAGUE LAST YEAR.
~DRAFTS/TEAM PLACEMENT FOR ALL DIVISIONS will be
held the week of APRIL 14TH.
YOU SHOULD EXPECT A PHONE CALL FROM YOUR MANAGER WITHIN A FEW DAYS OF
THE DRAFT. They will tell you which
team your child is on and when they will start practicing.
~REMEMBER~HOME RUN CARD $ IS DUE BY APRIL 25TH!!!
~WE WILL HAVE GAME SCHEDULES READY AT LEAST
1-2 WEEKS BEFORE THE SEASON. A COPY
WILL BE GIVEN TO THE MANAGER, AS WELL AS POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE, www.cybaseball.com. GAMES BEGIN ON MAY 10th &
GO THROUGH LATE JULY. We will have
regular league games and then a City Tournament at the end in which all teams
participate.
~UNIFORMS WILL BE ISSUED AT THE TEAM MOM MEETING ON MAY 6 (EXCEPT FOR THE 2A DIVISION). ONLY THE “DESIGNATED” TEAM MOM OR DAD NEEDS TO ATTEND THIS MEETING.
